on her own journey as an actor, vidya says, im very proud of my journey and have come a long way from my school days. i have come a long way from my childhood. i was living in london when i wanted to act. i was studying there. i was doing theatre. i was with shakespeare, farce, shakespeare and comedy.
while she has been getting the kind of recognition she deserves, the actress believes that people are still not taking her seriously enough. vidya says, as an actor, you dont want to be a star, you want to make people laugh, inspire them. its not easy to achieve that. people are beginning to take me seriously, but i still do not feel like that because im still working hard. if you dont work hard, you will never achieve anything. im doing my bit, but i still want to do more. i would love to see the day when im truly successful, when people take me seriously and i know that ive earned it.
on her association with bollywood, vidya says, i feel blessed. no one can ever replace the success of my previous film. i was born to do film, but im not here because i was born to do it. i want to keep going, keep working and keep doing good films. its a different kind of feeling. i dont have that pressure of being the biggest star in the country. i just want to keep doing good films and earn a good name.
